Snare Solos
All of the videos in this section are snare drum solos written and demonstrated by myself.  Most of them shown first up to speed, and then again slowed down so that my students learning these solos, or anyone interested can break down the parts more easily.  If you would like transcriptions of all of the solos on this page, you can purchase them here below:

Paradiddle Paradise
Introductory Snare Drum Solo using basic rudimental skills and sight reading.  A good "starter solo" to begin applying basic rudiments and sticking patterns to create a piece of music.

"Catch"-Duet

Notre Dame
Snare drum solo featuring "hand to hand sticking" for the first half and mixes up the rhythm and sticking patterns for much of the second half.

The Beach Awaits

A short snare solo played at two tempos.  Written on my way to the ocean.  This is one of the most inspired and distracted I have ever been at the same time.

4 Stones
A lengthy intermediate solo that uses some interresting "time bending" techniques as well as good handfull of rudiments and dynamics.

5/16 Ratchet

This solo uses a 5 16th note poly-rhythm in the beginning and has plenty of "chop" challenging rudiments throughout.
